MARK II CONDENSER
 
Our unique condenser is standard equipment with all Glacier Bay holding plate systems (1HP and up use a double version of this condenser). Like other exclusive Glacier Bay components, our condenser offers many advantages over competitor's "tube-in-tube" , "oil cooler" and "keel cooler" types including:
 

170 SQ. IN. OF INTERNAL COOLING SURFACE AREA
A typical "tube-in-tube" used by our competitors would need to be 12 ft long to contain the same internal cooling area as a Glacier Bay Condenser. The exclusive 31 tube bundle gives nearly three times the surface area of similarly sized "oil-coolers".

  • FULLY CLEANABLE DESIGN
    Glacier Bay offers the only fully cleanable Condenser on the marine market. Simply loosen the stainless steel hose clamps which hold the rubber end caps in place and remove the caps. This allows full access to 100% of the wetted surface of the Condenser for easy cleaning. You'll have no trouble with tubes hidden by restricted water connections. The ability to periodically clean the Condenser means that the outstanding efficiency of your new system can be maintained indefinitely.

  • VIRTUALLY CORROSION-PROOF
    In addition to copper-nickel construction, the Glacier Bay Condenser offers the extra protection of a sacrificial zinc. The zinc is located so as to provide "short-path" protection to entire Condenser area.

The Glacier Bay Condenser comes in three different sizes.  A single, double and triple tube.  Which version is right  for your system depends on which compressor and options you choose.
