Kurt Gallo
Chief Executive Officer

Kurt Gallo is a strategic minded executive with a proven track record of success.  He has held several presidential roles, including President of Danaher Corporation’s $120M Pelton & Crane division, President of Danaher Power Solutions, and President of Jennings Technology.  Kurt strives for continuous improvement across the organization, and is well-versed in the implementation of Lean Manufacturing principles.  He has over ten years experience in senior sales and marketing, and holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Michigan and an M.B.A. in Finance and Marketing from the University of Chicago.


G. Kevin Alston
Chief Technical Officer

As Founder and Chief Technical Officer, Kevin Alston has transformed Glacier Bay, Inc. from an abstract concept into a concrete reality. Renowned for his ingenuity in the field of research and design, Kevin is the primary visionary, translating his inventions into lucrative product lines. He remains focused on Glacier Bay's commitment to environmentally responsible products.


Jeffrey Wheeler
Chief Financial Officer

As Chief Financial Officer, Jeffrey Wheeler oversees and regulates accounting, banking, finance, and investor relations. With over twenty years senior finance and executive management experience in a diverse group of firms, he brings a long record of business success, from building start-ups to leading turnarounds in mature industries. In his position as President, C.E.O. and C.F.O. of the Zacson Corporation, revenue grew from $13M to $65M and staff nearly doubled. Jeff holds a B.S. in Finance from Santa Clara University and an M.B.A. from the University of San Francisco.


Wayne Goldman
Vice President of Sales

Wayne Goldman has twenty-five years Sales, Marketing and executive management experience in a variety of companies, ranging from established corporations to self-start-ups in the high-technology and oil and gas industries. As a Strategic Planning Director for Getty Oil, he helped grow their Coal Department from 3 to 3,500 employees in less than two years and developed their corporate strategies. He holds a B.S. in Geology from the University of New Hampshire and an M.S. in Economics with an emphasis in Operations Research and Marketing from the Colorado School of Mines.


Dina Folkman
Director, Human Resources

With fifteen years experience in Human Resource and a strong emphasis in Recruiting, Dina Folkman knows how to build organizations. Prior to joining Glacier Bay, she was the Senior Human Resources Manager for Organic, Inc., where she led the North American recruiting efforts.  Dina holds a B.A. in Business with an emphasis in Human Resources and Marketing from Temple University.

Ronald Hoge
Executive Chairman

Ronald Hoge has over thirty years business experience with executive leadership roles in seven different companies from Fortune 500 firms to venture-backed start-ups. His impressive background includes fifteen years as President/CEO of Cummins Power Generation (Onan), President/CEO of Magnetek, and President of a $1.5B aerospace division of Allied Signal. Mr. Hoge has served on a dozen other public and non-profit boards over the years and holds a B.A. in Mathematics from Amherst College, and an M.B.A. in Marketing from Stanford University.


Mark Perry

Currently a General Partner at New Enterprise Associates (NEA), Mark Perry focuses on information technology investments and is involved in numerous NEA portfolio companies. He has over ten years executive experience as a chief officer in management, operations and finance. Mr. Perry holds a B.A. in Economics (cum laude) from Amherst College, a Masters in Business Administration (with distinction) from Harvard University, and is a Certified Public Accountant.


Arno Penzias, PhD

Perhaps best known for his 1978 Nobel Prize in Physics for his work in radio astronomy, Arno Penzias has also received a number of awards and honorary degrees for his contributions to science, R&D management, and public service. He has authored several publications on modern technology, and is currently a Venture Partner at New Enterprise Associates (NEA) where he earnestly hopes to find and help finance more commercially viable alternative energy technologies.

TECHNICAL ADVISORY BOARD


Mike O'Dell
Currently a Venture Partner at New Enterprise Associates (NEA), Mike O'Dell works with NEA's technology team to identify early stage Information Technology, Communications, and Energy opportunities. Mr. O'Dell's experience at the forefront of computer technology includes work at the Lawrence Berkeley Laboratory and as Chief Scientist at UUNET Technologies, developing network and product architecture during the emergence of the Commercial Internet. Mr. O'Dell received his B.S. and M.S. in Computer Science from the University of Oklahoma.

Anthony West, PhD

Anthony West has over twenty-five years of innovation leadership in the computer industry, with executive experience spanning technology, sales, marketing, services, IT, business strategy and planning. He was a Vice President at Sun Microsystems, where he served the company as head of Engineering, as Vice President of Corporate Planning, and as a Chief Technology Officer. He has been a board director for several trade organizations and technology companies.


Petros Ioannou, PhD

Petros Ioannou is a highly distinguished Professor of Electrical Engineering-Systems at the University of Southern California and serves as Director of the Center of Advanced Transportation Technologies (CATT). His research interests are in the areas of adaptive control, neural networks, nonlinear systems, vehicle dynamics and control, intelligent transportation systems (ITS), and intelligent flight control.

Alex Levran

Alex Levran is the Chief Technical Officer of Power-One, Inc and has over twenty years executive management experience in the technology field.  Mr. Levran understands the alternative energy market having developed the strategy for launching products in emerging markets including wind, solar, fuel cells, and micro-turbines.
