A complete refrigerator icebox rebuild
using Glacier Bay's Barrier Ultra-rtm vacuum insulation panels
and "Ready-To-Mount" icebox hatches

 

Installing the hatch frames and countertop

The countertop base and hatch frames are installed. The top insulation is installed under a 3/4" marine plywood countertop base.  Glacier Bay's "Ready-To-Mount" hatch frames are mounted in place (two over the refrigerator and one over the freezer) as is the galley sink

A large Glacier Bay "Ready-To-Mount" frame is installed to provide front-opening access to the refrigerator. A Glacier Bay "Ready-To-Mount" hatch frame (large) is surface mounted at the front of the refrigerator box to make a front-opening door.

The Corian countertop finish surface is installed. The countertop is finished off in white Corian and the front-opening hatch frame is trimmed in teak.
