Product Overview
The purpose of this test was to discover the effective insulation value of 16 year old "pour-in" foam.  The foam sample was taken from a "higher-quality" 16 year old Taiwanese built sailboat.  The refrigerator box had been in constant use for last 6 years.  The test sample was removed from the boat when the refrigerator box was being rebuilt prior to the owner undertaking extended cruising.  The foam was completely saturated with condensate water at the time of removal (a common state) and was tested both wet (as removed) and in a fully dried condition.

Test Conclusion
While the test results gained here do not necessarily reflect the thermal value of all similarly aged pour-in insulation, the insulation itself was a typical installation for its time.  The density of the foam varied throughout to a degree common in most Pour-in foam installations.  The test sample was selected to reflect a typical mid-density and transition point.
